Outlook
This document provides information about setting up Outlook Professional. (Outlook Express will be similiar).
Creating an Account On the top menu bar, click "Tools", then click "E-mail Accounts". That will bring you to this window:
Click "Add a new e-mail account", then click the "Next" button. On the next window that opens, choose "Pop 3 Account". That will bring you to this window..
Obviously, you'll want to fill this in with YOUR info, not the info you see above. Everywhere you see "compusolver" replace that with your own domain name. If your domain is not a "dot com", replace the extension part (".com") also. IMPORTANT: Please note that the outgoing mail server above is not the same as the incoming mail server. That is because nowadays, most ISPs (your Internet Service Provider) force you to use their outgoing mail server. If that is the case, you will need to find out what to put here from your ISP's instruction manual. Otherwise, (assuming your ISP allows it) you can use "mail." + your domain name (same as incoming mail server). When you've finished, click the "Test Account Settings" button to be sure you have everything correct. Need more help?
If you're hosted with SmBizHosting.com, you may telephone or email us for further assistance. All hosting customers get our toll-free support line, which is usually answered by me (Hank) and my cell phone so that I am always available to you. When you contact us for support, you don't get some kid just out of college or someone just learning to speak English somewhere on the Asian continent - you get a fifty-something year old (hey, I gotta keep SOME secrets!) web developer, PHP / MySQL programmer with graphics and video experience who understands just how important your website is to your business.
